TERMS OF SERVICE (Updated for 2026)

1. WHY THESE TERMS EXIST (A HUMAN INTRODUCTION FROM ROBERT)

Over the past few years, I’ve been approached by former clients, founders, executives, friends, and even complete strangers who were blindsided by sudden layoffs, industry collapse, or the profound disorientation caused by the accelerating impact of AI. People who once felt secure now feel unmoored. People who once had clear career paths now face uncertainty they never imagined.

This overwhelming outreach from so many corners of life – and the genuine pain behind it – is what drove me to write Reset Protocol™, Your Last Paycheck™, and the larger Five Year Life™ series. These books exist to give people structure when life falls apart, clarity when goals feel shattered, and a path forward when everything feels uncertain.

That same spirit guides the way Good-Man LLC treats your privacy, your information, and your interaction with this site. These Terms of Service explain the rules, boundaries, and obligations involved in using FiveYearLife.com and any related services.

This introduction is warm, because the books are warm – but the Terms that follow are legally binding. Please read them carefully.

2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing FiveYearLife.com or any related domains, subdomains, pages, forms, resources, downloads, Advanced Reader Community (“ARC”) materials, or services linked from this site (collectively, the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).

If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

These Terms apply to (a) visitors, (b) readers, (c) ARC participants, (d) commenters, (e) purchasers of any Five Year Life™ materials, and (f) any person who communicates with us through the Site.

Additional terms may apply to specific programs (e.g., ARC rules, privacy policy, purchase terms, coaching agreements). If any Additional Terms conflict with these Terms, the newer or program-specific terms prevail.

3. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time. The “Effective Date” at the top reflects the most recent update. Changes become effective when posted. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

4. OWNERSHIP AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Site and all content and materials – including book content, downloadable materials, the 108 Reset Protocol™ questions, Action Plans, Hope Moments, frameworks, structure, graphics, branding, and text presented online – are owned by:

Nothing on the Site grants you permission to copy, reproduce, distribute, adapt, republish, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any material without our prior written permission.

Short quotations for reviews may be allowed under “fair use,” but wholesale copying, scraping, reproduction, or systematic extraction of content is strictly prohibited.

5. LICENSE TO USE THE SITE (WHAT YOU MAY DO)

Good-Man LLC grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to:

  • Access and read the Site for personal, non-commercial use
  • Download freebies for personal use only (unless a specific license states otherwise)
  • Participate in ARC or beta reader programs subject to program rules
  • View sample chapters, stories, or questions for personal use

You may not:

  • Redistribute, repost, republish, or resell our content
  • Copy or mirror Site content or structure in bulk
  • Scrape, harvest, or extract Site content by automated means
  • Train or fine-tune AI models on our content, whether for commercial or non-commercial use
  • Sell, sublicense, or license any portion of our books, questions, or frameworks
  • Use our marks in domain names, advertising, tags, or search keywords in a way that implies affiliation

All rights not expressly granted remain the exclusive property of Good-Man LLC.

6. COPYRIGHT CONCERNS AND NOTICE-AND-TAKEDOWN PROCESS

We respect valid intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright or other rights, please notify us so we can investigate and respond appropriately.

How to notify us: Email Robert@FiveYearLife.com with (a) your name and contact information, (b) identification of the work you believe is infringed, (c) the specific URL or description of where the allegedly infringing material appears, and (d) a brief explanation of why you believe the use is unauthorized.

Upon receiving a notice that appears credible and sufficiently detailed, we will take reasonable steps to review the claim and may remove, disable access to, or modify the material while we evaluate. We may request additional information to process your request. We reserve the right to reject notices we reasonably believe are incomplete, abusive, or made in bad faith.

7. USER SUBMISSIONS (INCLUDING ARC FEEDBACK)

If you submit feedback, ARC notes, reviews, comments, testimonials, suggestions, corrections, form responses, or uploaded content of any kind (“Submissions”), you represent that you have the right to submit them and that they do not violate any law or third-party rights.

By submitting Submissions, you grant Good-Man LLC a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display those Submissions for purposes including improving the books, responding to readers, internal research, marketing, and future editions and formats.

You may request anonymity; we will make reasonable efforts to respect that.

ARC confidentiality: ARC participation may involve early drafts, errors, and pre-release materials. ARC materials are confidential and may not be shared, forwarded, reposted, uploaded, or discussed publicly without explicit written permission.

8. COMMUNITY RULES AND PROHIBITED CONDUCT

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, impersonate, or abuse others
  • Post unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or hateful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems
  • Upload malware or use the Site to distribute harmful code
  • Interfere with Site operations, performance, or security
  • Use the Site for any commercial solicitation without written permission

We may remove content, restrict access, or terminate participation at our discretion, especially for confidentiality violations, copyright misuse, harassment, or abuse.

9. NO PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

The books and Site provide general educational frameworks, not individualized professional advice.

Good-Man LLC and Robert Lee Goodman are not providing financial advice, legal advice, psychological counseling, medical or mental health advice, tax advice, or employment guarantees.

Any action you take based on the Site or books is entirely your responsibility. If you need professional services, consult a qualified professional.

10. DISCLAIMERS (THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”)

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or availability.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Good-Man LLC and its owners, affiliates, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Site or reliance on any content.

Maximum liability is limited to fifty dollars ($50).

If you disagree with this limitation, your sole remedy is to stop using the Site.

12. INDEMNIFICATION (YOU PROTECT US)

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Good-Man LLC and its owners, affiliates, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the Site, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your Submissions, or (d) your infringement or alleged infringement of any third-party rights.

13. THIRD-PARTY LINKS, TOOLS, AND SPONSORS

The Site may link to third-party websites, software, AI tools, career platforms, training programs, or services referenced in the books or resources pages. Some links may be affiliate links, and some content may be sponsored. This does not change our disclaimers or your responsibility to do your own evaluation.

Good-Man LLC is not responsible for third-party content, practices, pricing, claims, changes, outages, policies, or outcomes. Use external links and tools at your own discretion.

14. PURCHASES, DOWNLOADS, AND DIGITAL ACCESS

Any purchases, downloads, or access to digital materials may be governed by additional terms presented at the time of purchase or access. We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, restrict, or remove access to any digital resource at any time, including for misuse, confidentiality violations, or suspected infringement.

15. AGE REQUIREMENTS

The Site is intended for users 18 years or older. ARC participation requires age 18+.

16. TERMINATION

We may revoke access, remove ARC participants, restrict downloads, block users, or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for suspected violations, misuse, or risk to our intellectual property or community.

You may terminate your participation at any time by discontinuing use of the Site.

17. DISPUTE RESOLUTION, ARBITRATION, AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER

Please read this section carefully. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and Good-Man LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Site, content, purchases, or these Terms will be resolved by binding arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if eligible.

No class actions: You agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding.

If a court determines that any portion of this arbitration/class waiver section is unenforceable, the unenforceable portion will be severed, and the remainder will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted.

18. GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee (USA), without regard to conflict of law principles.

To the extent any dispute is permitted to proceed in court (for example, to enforce arbitration or for small claims), you agree that venue will be in Sevier County, Tennessee, unless otherwise required by law.

19. SEVERABILITY, WAIVER, AND ASSIGNMENT

If any provision of these Terms is held unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.

We may assign these Terms and our rights and obligations without notice. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our prior written consent.
